If you followed along with the Eat Healthy 15 series, you saw a ton of Healthy Snacks. One of my absolute favourite snacks are Energy Bites or Balls because they are the perfect bite size and they’re packed with so many amazing ingredients. I love that I can pack them for a quick pick me up at my desk or even grab one right before heading to the gym. Plus, there are so many different options. These Blueberry & Lemon Energy Bites are definitely one of my favourites and they were done in ten minutes.
- Dried Blueberries
- Old Fashioned Oats
- Slivered almonds
- Flax seed
Blueberry & Lemon Energy Bites
Blueberry & Lemon Energy Bites make the perfect healthy snack.
- 8 oz dried blueberries
- 2-3 drops lemon essential oil
- 1 cup old fashioned oats
- 1/4 cup slivered almonds
- 1/4 cup flax seed
- 2 tsp honey
In a food processor or blender combine all of the ingredients and blend to create a paste.
The paste should be able to be rolled into tablespoon size balls.
If it is not forming a thick enough paste, add more honey.

An edible essential oil will be labeled “therapeutic-grade” and have a “Supplement Facts” box on the label showing the nutritional value – do NOT use just any brand of essential oil for cooking/flavoring foods. Be sure to use pure oils from reliable sources, not synthetic scents or flavorings.
